ROUND 2 OF THE 2024 FORMULA DRIFT SEASON
Round 2 of the Formula Drift 2024 season. Vaughn Gittin Jr. came out swinging at the second round in Atlanta. All the big names were on hand and were ready for whatever the Reigning RTR Formula Drift champions had to bring to the table. Names as Chris Forsberg and his NOS Energy-powered Nissan 400z, Dan Burkett in his 2JZ-powered Mk4 Supra, and the Toyota Yaris of Toyota-Racing piloted by Ryan Tuereck. As the weekend progressed, the battles intensified. Pinning the two past champion RTR drivers Vaughn and James “The Machine” Deane in an intense battle with Deane getting the better of the boss in just his second race behind the wheel of his Right Hand Drive Mustang. Another fan favorite Adam LZ got knocked out in. the top 16. Highlight of the night was when Odie Backis was coming back up the hill and backfired causing a giant fireball to erupt out of the hood, luckily Backis was ok but his S14 was knocked out for the remainder of the weekends event. The final battle for the podium came down to James Deane and Toyota and past champion Fredric Asaboand his Toyota Pepadakis Racing Toyota MK5 Supra with Asabo throwing down an insane run and securing the win for Seth and the team.
