The inaugural race of the 2025 NTT Indycar Season. Kicked off on the sunny streets of downtown St.Petersburg, Florida.Action-packed from the very first moment when the haulers come in and take over the parking lot at the Mahaffey Theatre Parking lot right next to Albert Whitted Airport, stay tuned that comes in shortly to the story.
This year’s race had a bunch of new faces in new places. Such As the shakeup at Arrow/ McLaren Motorsports. With Tounted Veteran Pato O’Ward taking the team lead and last years rookie Nolan Siegel returning they look strong this year and thats before newcomer Christian Lundgaard brought his talents to Team Papaya from RLL Racing.
One of the Early Surprises was that Former Mclaren and Andretti Autosport driver Alexander Rossi would be leaving and taking his talents to Ed Carpenter Racing. The Former Indy500 Champion would join up with last years talented rookie Christian Rasmussen. And Team Owner Ed Carpenter with still be running the ovals and the big Show during the month of May (INDY500).
Another New face on the grid in a new place was David Malukas, linking up with Santino Ferrucci and bringing the fight back to A.J. Foyt Racing. Both are extremely talented drivers looking to put Foyt Racing back on Victory Lane.
With a couple of shake-ups, the Juggernauts, such as Team Ganassi, Andretti Autosports, and Team Penske Racing, were ready to go full tilt straight out of the gate on the downtown streets.
Team Ganassi Racing brought home the win over Penske, with Ganassi’s Drivers Battling it out for the top spot. With Last year’s NTT Indycar Champion Alex Palou standing atop the podium at the end of the weekend.
